Players like VC don't come around too often. It was great seeing my favorite player play for my favorite team.

I can't think of too many reasons why a fan would not have wanted him on their team in his heyday.

One of the most exciting players to grace the hardwood.
Consistent throughout most of his career.
Clutch.
41st all-time in NBA scoring.
Future HOFer.

My favorite athlete of all time.

Appreciated for his dunks, amazing plays, one of a kind talent.

Unappreciated for being a disappointment for Orlando, and generally not having a heart or passion for the game.

There's almost as many reasons to hate him as there are to love him.... and the internet ain't exactly a supportive place. Its where people come to make bold, aggressive statements behind usernames and modems. Even with that said, I can't imagine someone other than a 2010 Magic fan saying anything less that, "I loved watching this guy play above the rim", if nothing else.

I will admit he is a great player. But not for those two reason. At all.

Injuries and lack of heart prevented him from being even greater, IMO.

I saw a VC Raptors Swingman jersey at the thrift store yesterday

A Clippers Odom one as well; somebody cleaned out their early 2000's rotation I guess.

Since when is saying that Vince didn't play with passion - or any of the other statements levied against him - a bold statement? It's the same exact thing that sportswriters and analysts have been saying for years.
