I’ll be going to Sydney later this summer (which will be Winter there actually). Anyone have suggestions of must-visit stores to hit up for kicks?

Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing the responses, I might be moving to Australia for a year on a Work Holiday Visa program. Definitely trying to find the shoe spots to visit out there!

Depends where to, Australia is rather large...

Solemate

Culture Kings

Google addresses. Sydney’s a 12 hour drive/3 hour flight from me and changes rapidly so there may be new joints too.

out of all the places i've traveled (including kentucky), the only place i've ever experienced racism to my face has been sydney australia. i got lost trying to get to the zoo and ended up in some residential area. i was driving slowly when some kid on a curb locks eyes with me and does this..

i kinda chuckled and hit the brake and the kid went running the other way down the street.

funny thing is that even though i'm mostly japanese, my skin is pretty dark and i've been told i look more like an american indian or hispanic than anything.

what's up amfam bro!
kid looked like he was about 12 or so.

i did enjoy eating pasties while i was there.
Odd. Im not actually from australia, i moved here from os, ive found it to be the most non racist place ive ever lived or visited. It’s certainly the most multicultural country im aware of, and pro mulitcultural at its core. While like anywhere there are still the odd dimwitted fools around, and your usual groups, those groups are very small in number (and i mean minute), frowned upon by the community, and have no power and never will have, despite their efforts to fool people into thinking theyre larger in number and popularity.

You obviously found a little **** there...

Bro, you're about to go on vacation and you're worried about finding sneaker stores. They're going to have the same shoes your local Footlocker has.

I'm so glad I grew out of sneakers at a young age.

I’m from the Philippines. There are no footlockers, champs, footactions, finishlines or any other shops you have in the states. Our allocation and stocks are a little different here compared to the rest of the world, so seeing what other shops may or may not have is something I want to experience.

You have your interests and I have mine.
Thanks for your input!

I lived there for 2.5 years, but wasn't really into the sneaker scene. I think there's a boutique called Espionage near Chinatown. Other than that there's your usual Footlocker, Nike Pitt St, Nike George Street and Adidas Pitt St.

Some say Australia is a racist country, I think this really depends on where you spend your time. I was predominantly in the CBD and North Sydney where it's fairly multicultural.

Loved my time there and would want to move back in the future.

True.

We get plenty of Asia exclusives you wont be able to get in the states.
