I had no clue they were located in America, specifically Irvine, CA. With less than 500 employees they're looking to shake things up for the PC market like they did for HDTV market. This is a GREAT looking laptop and best of all, NO BLOATWARE OR STICKERS. Sleek and light weight too boot. This will be my next laptop.

very interesting.....

an I also did not know they were an American company.

I need to see a review. I have only bought Vizio tvs and I loved them. Now I wanna see how their laptops do. I just wish it had more then Intel[emoji]174[/emoji] HD 4000. No skyrim for me but the specs are nice.

Wal mart has em for pre order, honestly the way they are priced, you might as well go apple.

Interesting that they focused on the trackpad, that's one of my favorite features on macs, I hope they stack up well.  I'm definitely gonna test one out when they release...

I was hoping they would be cheaper.. would rather build a PC for that price, and use a tablet or phone when I'm out

apple trackpad, nice.

no idea on prices but unless its very cheap im not switching anytime soon. i need to get a new macbook and dont know when they will ever happen

i thought they pride themselves on good technology at affordable prices? $1000?

Those comps. look sick as hell. If I didn't already have a mac, then I'd purchase on of those vizios.
I wonder how durable/reliable it is.

where at the prices located? i swore vizio was a chinese company

Would consider trying just to test clean windows 8 and support a good company

Don't see myself leaving apple anytime soon though

Two of my four TV's are Vizios (the other two are sonys) and I am yet to have a single problem with either and it's approaching 3 years. I would assume they build their laptops with the same standards.

After looking at the specs I am disappoint in no thunderbolt and the fact that the highest processor on the 27" model is a 2.3 ghz. Reminds me of apples little brother, but a worthy little brother...
