I heard you can vacuum seal meats and vegetables, and have it last a year or two in the freezer....

Does anyone do this now? What do you use? I read about tons of brands, everyone has a certain brand they love just like with shoes,... I would love to hear everyone's input.

I do buy meat in bulk, but not enough where I have them for more than a month. I just use Ziploc freezer bags.

I store meats and veggies in the freezer all the time for long periods (months) of time with regular ziploc bags.

I don't know about a year ... but yes all the time.

It's not hard to push all the air out of a regular ziplock bag before sealing it.

Not necessarily...

Also, with regular zip lock bags you can still get "ice crystals" on your meat, this is not good. I eat a lot of fish, and you can buy farm raised or wild caught, at Costco they have huge pack of unfrozen wild caught salmon, that I would like to section up and freeze, this will be WAY cheaper than buying frozen wild caught...

So if this is your opinion and what you know - why are you even asking? SMH!

I got a sealer but never used it. From what I know they work pretty well so if you really need it then cop.
