What up NT heads. I've been on here since 2001, though I pretty much just lurk now.

Help me out and vote Galen Hall for Breakout player of the year.

I am primarily an online player with 1.2m in online winnings and over 10k tournaments played. I only played about 50 live tournaments this year, compared with most people on this list who played 150+, not to mention the fact that I haven't played since July and I have to balance poker with business school!

In 50 tournaments, I had 6 cashes and 4 final tables:

18th in Bay 101 shooting stars for 30k
12th in WSOP Triple Draw for 12k
7th in EPT Grand Final High Roller for like 80k
3rd in WPT World Championship for 600k
2nd in EPT Tournament of Champions Grand Final for 35k
1st in PCA Main Event for 2.3 million

For a net of around 3 million in winnings which puts me 3rd on that list for the year behind Benba and Sam

Voted.

But just curious, what kind of lifestyle do you live with these winnings? Like what do winning big time poker players do on their off time between tournaments?

I dunno, pretty normal. money in poker is just like points, it's kind of a catch-22. You can't be good at high stakes poker unless you absolutely don't care about money at all and can detach yourself from it, so most good high stakes players are inherently not super lavish spenders.

I waste a TON of money on stuff to save time, but don't buy ******edly expensive stuff that I wouldn't buy anyway (i.e. shoes or whatever).

Also, I'm in school now full time getting my MBA so I pretty much just do whatever people are doing here.

Voted, but how come you never check S&T anymore? Would have thought you would have went down the same road as other pros and lived at the Race/Sportsbook when you aren't playing poker.

I do most of my sports posting on 2p2, the people are super nerdy and have pretty similar interests.

I've never played pit games in the casino, and don't really see the point.

Thanks for all the support guys!
