The ******** announced new improvements to FedExField for the 2010 season and hosted a viewing of the stadium upgrades for media on Sunday afternoon.

Among the improvements to the facility include a new text message traffic alert system, installation of the locker of the late Sean Taylor for viewing on the club level, and club level party decks, as well as the previously announced installation of new HD video boards and complete renovation and replacement of the stadium’s video control room.
The ******** will provide traffic alerts via text message, giving fans access to regular updates on the best routes to use to get to FedExField on gameday.
The service will provide information on gameday bottlenecks to avoid up until kickoff, as well as announcements on any post-game traffic issues that arise to help fans get to and from the stadium for every home game.

******** staff will monitor traffic on the Beltway, Landover Road, Arena Drive and Central Avenue to provide up-to-the-minute updates. Fans can opt in to these alerts by completing the signup form at www.********.com/trafficalerts.

The team also has added more than 1,000 additional cash parking spaces for this upcoming season for fans attending ******** home games at FedExField.

The parking lot, located on the corner of Brightseat and Landover Road, is available to fans on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking is $40 per vehicle.

FedExField is also the new home of the locker of the late Sean Taylor, located near the Sprint Gate A club level escalator.

The locker from ******** Park, which has been kept exactly as it was left at the time of Taylor’s untimely death in November 2007, is enclosed in Plexiglass, with oversized photographs of Taylor exhibited on the exterior.

"We sealed it after he passed, and now that it has been a couple of years we wanted to bring it to FedExField and let the fans experience it exactly as it was," Snyder said.

The locker will be on display for Suite, Loge and Club Level ticketholders on gamedays, and all fans will be able to view the locker during stadium tours, the annual draft day, and other events.

Good Stuff! Fed Ex field was in dire need of some improvements.

Did I read it right? D. Hall, Kevin Barnes, and Ramzee Robinson are the starting CBs? So are they planning to move Carlos Rogers to safety?

Wide receiver Malcolm Kelly, still sidelined because of a hamstring injury, is not expected to play in Friday's preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills at FedEx Field.

******** Coach Mike Shanahan stopped short of ruling Kelly out but said if he's unable to practice this week, he won't see time in Friday's game.

On Friday night, rookie left tackle Trent Williams will line up for the first time in a competitive NFL game. He thinks he's ready.

Asked to grade himself thus far, Williams on Monday gave himself a B-minus. "Just because I'm hard on myself," he said.

Others who've been watching his progress through training camp would surely grade higher. Teammates and coaches continue to rave about Williams, though Friday's preseason opener against Buffalo will be the best indicator yet as to just how ready the rookie is to hold down the ********' starting left tackle spot.

"I'm still learning," he said following Monday's practice. "I'm getting better."

Just talked to a #******** asst. Coach, he said not to read really anything into the depth chart that was put out."they have to do that"

So with new #******** depth chart, I would not go crazy and read all that much into it. It is more mind games them anything.
- Chris Russell Twitter (ESPN 980 Beat Reporter)

Ryan Torain: "We dont know any positions yet. I'm going to keep working & doing what I'm doing. Hopefully I come out on that 53-man roster."

RT @PaulTenorio Parker: "They have my name at four? Yeah, I don't really even pay no attention to it really."

How much stock you should put in the depth charts released today? ... R. Torain and W. Parker didn't know they were listed 3rd & 4th RBs.

I don't think Malcolm Kelly is going to make this team. It's a shame, cause he has the best hands....but with all his injuries, he makes T-Mac look durable.

After what might have been the hottest practice of training camp yet - no cloud cover, temperatures in the upper-90s - ******** Coach Mike Shanahan went over a little bit of what's to be expected from Friday night's preseason opener against Buffalo. Two prominent players - starting right tackle Jammal Brown and third-year wide receiver Malcolm Kelly - won't play because of injury, Shanahan said.

Link

There was a Wildcat formation sighting at ******** Park but it took a split second longer than usual to actually see who was at quarterback. The diminutive Brandon Banks, a former Kansas State Wildcat, no less, took a couple snaps in the formation that has taken the NFL by storm since the Miami Dolphins introduced it in 2008.

The formation, which brings running threat to take the snap, is intended to give the offense the threat of rushing or passing. But don't expect the latter when the rookie Banks lines up at quarterback.

"Never," the 5-foot-7, 155-pound Banks said with a laugh when asked if he had ever thrown a ball in a game. "I ain't trying to throw no ball. I can't throw, I just run with it."

Coach Mike Shanahan said the ******** were practicing the Wildcat in preparation for Friday's preseason opener against Buffalo, which has run the formation.

As @rich_campbell and I were just discussing, Devin Thomas continues to struggle. #********

Phil Daniels says just a day off, no big deal. Will have a 1 on 1 with T.Austin. Devin seems frustrated big time by words & body language.

Andre Carter begins the preseason schedule ahead of Lorenzo Alexander in their outside linebacker competition.

Carter is listed as a starter for the opener Friday night against the Buffalo Bills at FedEx Field. Alexander, who also has multiple roles in special defensive packages and on special teams, will be Carter's primary backup in the game.

Also, Chris Horton will not play tommorow.

I'm suprised Thomas and Kelly are buried so far on the depth chart.

What's the deal ********' fans?

Thomas showed flashes last season, I thought he'd be starting opposite Santana this season.
