I had to go back to the mt3g(original)... Now I got the OTA update for 2.2.1, so now when I try to mount the phone it doesnt... Just charges, what is wrong?

i'd personally hold off until mid-february after the MWC and CES.
there should be plenty of announcements of new models which should lead to price drops.
but if you cant wait and are eligible for an upgrade/new contract, target has the evo for $99 in-store.

Ok this been buggin me since the facebook update and figured id finally ask. Has anyone figured out how to get a audible/vibrate notification when you get a new chat message? I get sounds for every other notification except when I get IMs.

The only reason to NOT get the Evo right now is if they are going to release a phone thats similar in specs but with Gingerbread installed already, which is unlikely (and if they do, im sure evo will officially have it within the 2-3 months for the next phone to release anyway).
You cant really get much better than the evo already is unless its a dual core processor or has a better screen, which already isnt bad because of the size.

ok, I bought a brand new OEM battery for my Droid 1 at VZW today.
At night when im charging my phone, I leave it plugged into the wall all night, so obviously its on there for quite a while when "fully charged" until the next morning
Does this hurt battery life at all?
