I understand brosef.. I was loyal to Samsung as well. I've heard the S4 has some lag issues here and there and some have mentioned it in this thread. I just needed a change from Sammy this round.. I'm most likely copping the Note3 but dat HTC Maxx or whatever the hell it's being called is calling my name as well.

you get used to the size of the note 2 after all, I had smartphones before android, and they were big back then. The battery life is a luxury. No longer worried about having bt or wifi on. The stylus is a cherry on top. The things you can do with it....
The cons are speaker in back, camera is so so, and touchwiz, is nice, but vanilla android is better.
Also, I'm not a samsung fanboy, but an htc one. I've had the htc kaiser, htc touch diamond, htc nexus one, htc sensation. Nexus 4 as well.

You're supposed to be able to see gifs in textra now but I can't get it to work. I tried uploading the gif straight from my gallery and just copy and pasting the link into the text box... Nothing.

Works for me. I clicked the + icon, uploaded it from Quick Pic, and it showed up in the conversation and plays on its own. Maybe the app needs to update again, check that you don't have an update in the Play Store.
 
Anybody else on 4.3 roms Having trouble with WiFi speeds? No matter what 4.3 ROM I try the WiFi speed is bad. If I switch to a touchwiz or 4.2 ROM its fine.

Nope.. on GE TrickDroid and speeds are just fine for me. You mentioned TW so I'm guessing you have the s4.. I have the One don't know if that has anything to do with it but my speeds are fine with a 4.3 rom

Must be a problem on s4s then cause the speed is ridiculously slow.
 
chrome beta finally has a 1-handed zoom operation. it's similar to the zoom in maps (tap then hold, moving up or down to zoom in or out). apple can have their outdated pinch-to-zoom back.
