Alleged HTC One M9 Plus photos make the rounds

Purported live photos of HTC One M9 Plus made the rounds online. The yet to be revealed handset is expected to be a version of One M9 with beefed up hardware.

The unannounced device sports similar design as the regular HTC One M9 save for its main camera unit. The latter’s cutout is circular as opposed to squarish in the One M9 that already debuted.
HTC One M9 Plus might debut with two different chipsets - a MediaTek MT6795 model could cater to the Chinese market, while a Snapdragon 810 version will be sold elsewhere. The rest of the device’s rumored specs include 5.2” QHD display, fingerprint scanner, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable memory.

Sounds a lot like what the M9 was supposed to be :lol

132 updated subs :x

Must be your browser. Swipe right and see what happens

Nah it happens everywhere. No matter what Rom I flashed on my N5 it was there. I'm on t mobile idk if that matters.

Tried to Google got nothing

It clearly says that you need an authorized service provider to do it or it voids your warranty. Replaceable, like any other battery, just not user replaceable.

Not too impressed with the GS6. I currently have the GS4 and the 6 doesn't look too different interface-wise. Same old TouchWiz UI. I'm interested in the LG G4 tho. Any news on that?

I'd guess they're having supply issues. Really don't see any other reason for them to not only announce but release the two together.

nothing new with htc.
they' haven't been able to release anything together since the htc one v,s, and x came out.
regular Mx first, mini of that a couple months later, then a max (or + this year) if they even bother.

had to install google launcher on note 4. made a huge difference. gives me more of a nexus experience on a better device. also google now cards are essential. and swiping right to get them is second nature to me.

Please tell me more brother. Need to look into the GOOG launcher.

Also sorry so late to say this but great tech setups my dudes...forgot who said it in here but it's true that Android guys have great tech diversity...you'll see us with iOS, Mac OSX, Windows devices at the same dam time :lol

Touch wiz has to be trying to be so annoying to use. Got a different launcher myself but it doesn't change the funny pull down bar or how bad the settings menu is. I remember why I became so in love with stock Android

Where can I get some nice wallpapers for this phone though?

TW settings are a joke..there's so damb much it's ridiculous.

What's wrong with the pull down bar 8o

Quick Settings + Brightness bar are too big and ugly. They should be smaller and less cartoon looking. The notifications, which are the whole point of the shade are only getting 60 percent of the screen.  And that puke-green color Samsung loves

I understand they want usability,  but sometimes TW is just too "in-the-way"

Everything is just cumbersome compared to bone stock. The icons are way too big, minor annoyance but why is there not a flashlight quick button.

Everyone has to agree that the settings menu is horrendous.

I lowered my Dpi to 420, making use of all this real estate :hat

I've seen people on reddit go into the 300s which splits the phone screen in half but that's too much for me. I'm also not upgrading to lollipop. It wasn't worth it back then and now I have Xposed back :hat

touchwiz with lollipop seems to be a step forward, but we'll have to wait and see...should be dropping soon for tmobile. you can make anything wallpaper i'd imagine, but a good way to start off would be to lookup the exact resolution of the note 4 screen and then search pics that are at or close to that. thats how i generally go about it.

google now launcher is the stock android launcher. and open for all users, from google, in the app store and its aimed for people who obviously don't have stock android. if you look at a lollipop walkthrough vid, everything you see in terms of the app drawer, home screen layout, google search bar is as you will see it on the note 4. its clean, organized, simple and looks better than the touchwiz layout. icons are scaled bigger, but won't appear as sharp since the note 4 screen is insane with the ppi and resolution. but its absolutely negligible. still looks great.

speed is there too. nothing lags about it. its a simple launcher and isn't as deep as nova or apex or anything like that. those are hardcore customizable launchers. this is just a stock android launcher. nothing more nothing less. and my last 3 phones have been nexus so, adapting to another launcher wasn't an option.

again, this launcher is the current one used for android 5.0.

google now cards is awesome. just came back from puerto rico, and google being google, had my car rental, airbnb, and flight info when i needed it, and up to date. with regular note 4 you'd have to go into app drawer and hit the google app and you'll find it. but stock android has you just swiping right to get to the now cards, as it occupies the very left home screen.

anyways its a quick download. touchwiz had some bulls&t setup where the app drawer button was all the way on the right, and that big *** clock. nah i had to clean that up.

samsung contacts and phone dialer are functional. but its a downgrade from nexus. google knows how to design software, and i wish samsung wouldn't steer so far from that design language. not for everything at least.

edit: observation rant starts here lol..

i have to say in general i can see touchwiz being a good move, to give samsung some uniqueness to their line of phones, and that is great, but they have done too much imo. adding features 99.99% of people don't use or even know they have, having options in options in options (seriously, they got mad options), and overall adding to the figurative weight of the software, built on an otherwise light foundation (being stock android).

and that is where samsung fails to really compete with apple. and I'm not an apple fanboy, id prefer to be an objective engineer who can appreciate a good product. samsung is selling touchwiz in order to outclass what apple is doing with iOS, but they are selling to a non tech population. walk into any cell phone store from any carrier and those guys will tell u they get people who complain about their phones for the dumbest reasons. simple things like this option was turned on, or w.e. IOS from the get go was designed with the idea of accomplishing w.e u want to do, in the absolute simplest way possible. and i have to give credit where its due, they have been consistent on that, while using minimal RAM and processing power.

Google had growing pains, but its come a long way and imo, 5.0 is its best OS yet. its simple, unique, colorful and intuitive enough to really compete with non tech heads. making android open and customizable is a fantastic feature but Ill bet mad $$ that most people don't even know how to find the settings (typical android user).

samsung is the biggest competitor to apple, so they are blowing an opportunity to take full advantage of the power of android by making a confusing, and intimidating skin that is touchwiz. tone it down i say. apple iPhones sell with almost none of the features samsung adds, and apple is still where it is today because of the iPhone, so clearly no1 gives a **** about:

>eye tracking to scroll pages
>tv remote capabilities.
>a bunch of other **** idk

google already met with samsung to tell them to chill out on on that degree of changes. its clearly excessive and shows imo, a lack of market research to some degree. otherwise, samsung can make some really great phones. note 4 is dope. i hear samsung toned it down with the 5.0.1 update, we shall see. what you guys think?

I lowkey use the TV Remote features almost daily :lol

As someone who previously got Samsung devices and IMMEDIATELY rooted and ROM'd them though (would've did it again if AT&T didn't penis block a ___), I definitely get where you're coming from though.

I don't mind the large amount of options now because I'd always prefer to be able to do something and choose not to than outright not be able to do it.

However, they can ABSOLUTELY stand to finally put together a simple and cohesive look to their skin. I truly wish there was at least a holo option because I'm fed up with the whites, greens, blues, and the other colors randomly thrown around throughout TouchWiz.
