VW Owners? Vol Thinking of a Mk VI Golf

My first car (99 Acura TL) is just about ready to explode - hopefully without me inside of it. Need a reasonable car that wont kill me on insurance (Im 21) so no coupes or anything sporty. Sub 25 is about the goal, looking to most likely lease. Anyways, in the price range I found the Golf to seem pretty good, and itll come out to about 23. Any thoughts? No prior experience with VW, only know one person with a VW, hes had a Mk IV since college and that was 10+ years ago - its held up amazingly well.

Have had 3 MK4s... Lost 2 to car accidents.

if your going used to CPO.

VWs like an euro car will last you a while as long as its maintained.

Repairs can get pricey though.

Maybe even look into a TDI or the Jetta also.

The New MK7 golf drops next year.

I know the Mk 7 is next year, but thats a late 2014 launch and i think id rather spring on the 13 anyways.

I have a 07' MKV with 116k miles on it. Still runs great. VW's are great cars.

Get that or a Subaru Impreza Wagon. My buddy has one and it is honestly the most practical car you can buy
