Wimpy manager with no leadership skills or baseball IQ. Let's continue to bat a 40 year-old DH 4th and think nothing of it. Let's get into a brawl with a player. Let's continue to put in relievers that clearly have shown time in and time out that they're not going to get guys out.

Good move that should've been done around Griffeygate.

Gotta love when managers take the fall for the crappy teams their hired to manage...

Not his fault they suck. Not by a long shot.

Understandable... but he made PLENTY of mistakes.

-Continuing to insert Griffey into the cleanup role. What year did he think this was?
-The inability to bat Figgins somewhere else in the lineup after continuing to suck #@% at the plate
-Putting in guys like Texiera, Olson, Colome, League game after game who continued to give up leads or widen them
-Getting into fights with your players
-No discipline in the clubhouse. You probably haven't read the reports about the severe chaos amongst the team
-Poor baserunning calls, calling bunts for guys who we needed to hit the damn ball
-No fire, no energy. Don't want to hear the Torre comparisons
-Bad lineups

This. And, Jack Zduriencik is to blame for making some dumb offseason moves. Never signing a big bat that was desperately needed and trading away Morrow. The team worked so hard on the kid trying to get him into a rotation for two seasons and you dump him for crappy reliever.

Can't blame him for playing Griffey. 95% of Mariners became Mariners fans because of Griffey. I remember everyone on NT posting

when he went back to Seattle.

Wonder what manager is brave enough to take over that terrible job. Easily the worst team in baseball this season (I don't care if they don't have the worst record).

The past couple days have been pretty bad for the Mariners even if things already weren't very good. They're starting shortstop broke his hand slipping in his bathroom and is now out for the year and Brandon Morrow, who randomly got traded for no reason for some crap closer, almost got a no hitter. Really though, can anybody tell me why the #!%# they traded Brandon Morrow for that #%!!?
