In hindsight, was this really better for the game?
The NFL reality is multiple camera angles on top of the knowing-ness, if you will, of replay capabilities, so it magnifies every single flag/no flag to a point where every single play is scrutinized by one fanbase or the other....We all post what we see on NT, facebook or any other social medium and it builds momentum up to the point of "the NFL has an officiating problem."
Is the NFL profit from the extra commercials a real benefit to them even though it detracts from the consumer?
There's grumblings of the NFL reducing the "TV timeouts," but what does that mean and what does it take for us to "comply" with a satisfactory amount to keep both sides happy?
I'm not sure how I feel about replay as a whole, but adding more to what can reviewed is not of any interest to me...Bascially, forget it. I have no interest and half of it is because I don't want anymore stoppages of play that coincide with commercials (the other half is the human element argument).
Commercials? Eliminate the TV timeout after kickoffs, for one. They do so after the start of every game...No need. $$$ I know, but here we are at what may be the point of diminishing returns for the NFL.
What say you?...
I could have clumped this into the NFL thread, but screw it...@dland24 was onto something about the lumps of posts into one conglomerate of a thread and trying to have a rationale discussion in between...I prefer this, but I digress...
