Well, technically, the playoffs start in 2010 but it's the 2009 season, so yeah.

*CONTEST TO MAKE THINGS A LITTLE BIT MOREINTERESTING*
I will paypal $20 to the person that gets the exact final seedings andthe exact results of the playoffs correct. Your final seedings and exact results must be submitted in this thread before kickoff of this week's ThursdayNight Football game between the Colts and the Jaguars. If there is more than one person that gets the exact seedings and exact playoff results correct, than Iwill choose a # 1-100 and whoever is closest to that number wins the money. I'll PM the # to a designated individual beforehand if there happens to be atie so no one will question if there is any type of favoritism going on.

For example...

To get the $20 -- You have to get the #1-6 seeds in both conferences exactly correct, and from those #1-6 seeds youwill have to predcit who comes out as the winner in each and every game exactly correct.

Shouldn't be THAT hard considering there is only 3 games left on every team's schedules and a lot of seedsare pretty much set in stone..

...

Alright...with that being said...

If The Playoffs Ended Today...

1. they can beat the colts in indy.

2. besides the colts, i don't see any afc team beating them in the playoffs.

3. besides their super bowl season, the colts haven't been known for their playoff sucess and have lost a few home playoff games.

4. this seems to be the year where their playing good football and have put it together and been consistent almost the whole season. in 2007 they started slowand finished hot and got a 3 seed but they weren't beating the undefeated patriots in the conference championship, 2008 they burned themselves outwinning their final 4 and beating a tough colts team in the divisonal round. their slow start doomed them to tough road playoff games the rest of the way

the fact that they'll probably get in by default. all the giants need to do is finish with the same record as dallas and the 6 seed is theres.

im holding out hope that the 49ers win out and dallas and the giants continue to struggle though

wishful thinking i know.

look at the cowboys schedule, dallas has a tough schedule and can potentially lose their final 3 games. at saints, at washington (who has been playingdecent lately), and home against philly (with this game possibly influencing playoff seeding for philly)

the giants play at the ******** (potential loss since i think washington is going to take advantage of their chance to play spoiler), the panthers at home win, and a vikings team in week 17 that will most likely only play their starters for part of that game.
