These thread should be titled "Whats your 5 favorite HipHop beats". Because theres nothing iconic about beats like "through the wire". That being said, mine are:

"Who shot ya"
Where i'm From"
"NY state of Mind"
"Nothing but a G thang"
"Ambitions as a ridah"

Mo Money Mo problems

Mo Money Mo problems is the best combination of pure hip hop and pop music the world has ever seen. The perfect synthesizers combined with the 3 most repeated verses in history, I don't care how you feel about Puff, that track was legendary, and to top it off that video is the best rap has ever seen.....If it's new years I have to hear that song to this day, and I was 7 when that track dropped.

As far as shook ones go, Havoc's beat changed the game in what I consider the best rap single ever made, when that beat drops 12 seconds in, it's like that feeling I had when I first played basketball, when I first convinced a girl to put her lips on my peni$ , or when I first heard Obama speak.
