I'm from New York so I'm biased.  I think we have the smartest sports fans (toss up between us and Boston) and the Knicks and Giants could sell out a winless season, but I've got to admit I've always been intrigued by fans up in the Pacific Northwest, particularly Portland and it's weird hippie and middle age fans who will go out and support their team, even if they don't give a crap about the sport.  Just look at the love the Timbers get...

Gonna be a lot of biased opinions in here, so I'll offer mine as well. Portland has the best fans. Most are so delusional out here that they keep the enthusiasm alive through anything (as long as the team isnt making the news every night for some new arrest), which keeps the realist/pessimistic fans, such as I, enthused about the teams through anything.

But we all do give a crap. We give many craps. We arent called 'Soccer City, USA' for no reason. Again, most of the fans out here are delusional, and to them the Timbers are in the playoff race still, but our enthusiasm and excitement levels > anyone else.

I mean give reasons like accidicality's biased %+# did

I will say some of my best sports experiences have been with my friends from the bay. they all genuinely care about the teams too.

I remember seeing the Warriors back in Spring 07 and %!%@ was like an ECW event

In terms of NBA I'd say you must go with the Warriors, all things considered.

In terms of a combination of all "Sports" in the city, I'd hesistate and say Portland.

I say the Bay and NY as far as USA goes. But I do love how football affects the whole city of Dallas and when I say whole city I mean WHOOOOOOOOOLE CITY. You can't escape it.
