What does GS mean?

What does GS mean when describing a shoe? From context it seems to mean it's a super cheap version of a shoe but what does it stand for?

Is there some index on this or another site explaining all these shoe related acronyms?

I think NT has a acronym guide, right? I'm not familiar with GS thogh.. That's a new one since I was in.
