Hitting on a shoe you want that's harder to get and sells out fast, or getting one later on a good discount? This is assuming you're wanting these for yourself and not to resell.

Winning a raffle is a good feeling, but I think I feel better saving money.

It depends. It comes down to getting the shoe you really want.

Saving money feels great but then you end up with shoes that you only kinda bought because they were a good deal. If you're hitting on a shoe that you wanted that's harder to get, you're technically "saving money" too because that means the resale for the shoe is typically more, but you got them for "only" the retail price.

I am either all in on a release, or Im not. I dont buy a lot but when I do, my goal is to get it on release day. If I want a shoe bad enough paying retail is good for me. So winning a raffle would be my answer to this.
