It's tough out there, I know a lot of people that can't even get $35k jobs.

I've been in the house market for about 3 months, and I'm ready to give up.  The prices of houses are still absurd even though they have dropped recently.

Houses in the hood going for over $250k

, and they are beat too

.  That's a $1,200-1,700 mortgage note (depending on different factors), might as well rent for life in an apartment by the beach than own a pad in the hood that is all %+*@@@ up.

I don't even understand how people were buying up homes for $350-400K in the hood a couple years ago.

I don't want to move to the boonies either (No I.E. for me

++%+ that).

The "rent for life" mentality is starting to sink in.

Crazy when  you look at Public Records.  Homes that sold for 90k in 1996-1999 are now $350k and they don't even look nice.  Inflation FTL!

*end rant* *sighs*
