What is Jermaine O'Neal still doing in Indiana?

Pau is no where as near as good a defender as JO is, people underestimate how good he was and still is healthy. He hasn't had a good squad the past fewyears, and Pau was in the same situation, he wasn't healthy, he was traded to a good team, and now he's getting all the shine in the world. If JO istraded to a team like the Bucks where's he'd be a final piece, they'd be good. Golden State's another team that would go over the top with him,as well as Houston, Charlotte, New Jersey and Philly. All these teams could maximize JO's potential.

Like Bill Simmons says, here's your classic NBA player who wants Franchise money but then won't take the Franchise responsibility.

Why havent they traded him? Well would you want a player making max money but doesn't give you max talent? And has missed 121 games since 2004-05? Idon't think the Pacers "owe" him anything either, especially with him having what two years left on his deal?

I get so tired of these guys wanting to just simply bail on organizations and play the woe is me card when they are just as much of the problem as anything. Ido feel for Pacer fans and agree the situation has pretty much run its course.

I wanted JO so bad...

But hsi contract is horrible and he can't stay healthy.

Al Harrington and the JRich exemption for O'Neal would be great. He would be a perfect fit for the Warriors.

Baron.
Ellis.
Jackson.
Jermaine.
Biedrins.

GSW would finally get the scoring big-man they need.

Dude use to be the truth. I still remember him tearing the heat a new one in the playoffs a couple years back

If he was healthy, many teams would want to have him so much more. When healthy, he is one of the most dominant players in the league. But the problem is, heis never healthy for more than 30... errr 15 games. As a player, he is damn good, and I respect the hell out of his game. But its very unfortunate to see sucha talent literally go to waste, because of injuries.

I think this may be the last we have seen of the old JO. If he is able to come back injury free, he is going to be very limited as to what he can do on thefloor.

As for him and Indiana, its about time they part ways. For the past year or two, I have been saying that Danny Granger is the future of that team. They have tobuild around him if they want success in the immediate future. They have a good core of players with Deaner and Williams, but they have to keep building.

And thats not even taking Dunleavy into account, who is having a damn near career year this year.

If they part ways with JO, look for darn near immediate success for that team. I dont want to call JO a cancer, more because he has been injured instead ofbeing like... say Zach Randolph or Steve Francis. Dude is literally unable to play. Its tough to see, but they have to part ways.

All I'm saying is I think he should've been traded a long time ago. His stay there is long overdue.

Exactly, I've always wanted this trade to go down since the rumors started.

Why are people still so high on this guy? You can have MJ-like talent but if you cant stay healthy for most of the season then your worthless. JermaineO'Neal's legacy isn't going to be about what he accomplished as a player but what he could've accomplished if he actually stayed healthy.
