is it still true that if you are tattooed you cant donate blood? or is it some BS my mom was trying to tell me so i wont get tattooed? (i told her i want todonate my organs and all that when i die)

Thats actually true...but whats even better is; my blood type is the most valuable...i can donate to any Blood Type.

The major concern with tattooing is hepatits so I believe there is a waiting period from the point you got the tatto to when you can give blood, might be12 months.

O neg is really used a lot in the ER since it's the universal donor...but once the blood type is found out....they'll switch to the type of thepatient.

i was told you cant donate blood for about 1 year the same goes for when you get a piercing on your body.
