1992 - Bordeaux 7 - I saved every penny and copped from the outlet
1994 - Powder Blue 10 - also from the outlet but got as a b-day gift and I still have them with the box
1997 - Taxi 12 - got them for basketball camp that year wanted the Obsidian's but my mom didn't like them LOL no way I was messing that up if she was buying
1998 - Flint Grey 13 - had half the money saved and didn't think I was gonna be able to get them and my mom fronted the rest
1999 - Royal 14 (Lows) - wanted these and worked all summer then found these at the end of the summer at Rooster Andrew's on sale
2000 - White/Navy 15 (Lows) - Was working a "real" job by this point and copped on release date, also happened get a job at Foot Action that day too
2000 - Black/Silver 15 (Lows) - First time I have EVER had two shoes (let alone Jordan's) that were the same style just different colorways
I had some retro's here and there too prior to and during 2001, biggest shoe I regret skipping was the Laney 5's. I'm pretty sure I only had the money to buy one of those pairs of 15's (SMH). Also had the orignal Jumpman Pro Quick (Eddie Jones') and the original Trunners (white/blue).
Thinking about and remembering getting these shoes made me miss how it used to be to get these shoes. Kids these days have no idea what it was like to have to wait to see what the next Jordan was gonna look like and then see Mike rock them. Also, having to find out the release dates from people at FootLocker, etc. Now it's all about hype. But, I'm thankful I have the opportunity (read as money) to be able to buy a lot of the shoes that I wanted as kid because we didn't the the opportunity then. I'll never forget the first convo I had with my mom trying to convince her to spend $100 on shoes. LOL
