Cliffs: sleep rules, enjoy it while u can/end rant

Don't watch television before you try to sleep, that's a big problem right there.

Na

Your just not tired enough. Had the weed for assistance and it helped but sometimes the highs would be so nice that I would stay up to enjoy it. Ive been 45 days sober and I am able to fall asleep pretty easily except for maybe 1 time and that was because I drank some gatorade before bed.

Watch what you eat before trying to go to sleep too. Sometimes one can eat something that is high in sugars and totally forget about it. Exercise is key.... get tired so that your body wants but also NEEDS to sleep.

If all fails have a fap a thon

I honestly think it's our attachment to electronic's. I used to bring my laptop to bed to surf the net before I went to sleep. Bad idea. I found myself staying up wayyyy to long. I recently came across an article that explains how the brightness could be the cause of insomnia...

I started leaving my computer on my desk and reading instead...I've been able to get to sleep pretty fast ever since!

at me posting this at 3 in the morning tho haha)

On nights that I play sports, I fall asleep pretty easy. The rest of the nights I have a real problem getting quality sleep. Because of it I am extremely tired during the day and have issues staying awake in some lectures. I could use a solution

The brightness of your computer screen can have an affect on you as XX3forever mentioned.
Check out the program F.lux it dims your monitor at night to produce a more natural lighting that's easier on your eyes.

For real, even some of the busiest days I can never sleep

I was an insomniac for over 4 years before a major event in my life. After the day I've been able to sleep really well. I would try doing something extremely different one day like skydiving or going on a vacation. Also taking melatonin for a period of time may help. It will take time but I think you can get healed like i did.
