Need help from the NT family on this one. I applied for a job a couple months back and got offered a second round interview for next week. Anyway they said during the application process they would notify me before they contacted my current employer. I did not sweat it then because I was just applying but now i'm worried. My boss hates losing people and he just lost two people to other jobs and one to retirement. I'm afraid he might not help me get this job if they call him. The other issue is the job is in another city so I'm forced to take the day when I interview. For the first interview I called in sick and for the next one... well I'll have to come up with something. Anyway should I tell him I have an interview? Should I tell him i need the day to interview? What if he doesnt give me the day off? Should i play it sketchy and call in sick? The issue with that is if i get the job they are going to call him and he will probably put two and two together. Hmmm i'm worried because I really want the new job but I can't lose my current one either.
