What were your first pair of Air Jordans????

Black/Cement Grey IV's back in 1989. Was starting to play basketball that year and my parents let me get those for my birthday. Was already a big MJ fan but that just took it to another level. Joined the Flight Club and all that.

When the BC IV's come back again with the NA treatment I'll probably buy 3 or 4 pairs just because they mean so much to me.

Same for me,  I wore mine so much the entire front sole was gone and was a big hole. My dad worked at a rubber factory and he tried to mold a patch for me to get more wear out of them. Didnt work real well, but man i loved those shoes.

Dads are the best.

And regarding those IV's, I tore a back heel tab off when I was trying to get them on one day, man I was so sad.
 
White/silver 5s in 2000 , started out my jr year of high school with a retro+ colorway
 
My first pair was XIV black toe that I got at the outlets. Didn't think anything of them until later down the road when I played ball in them for the first time. My second pair was the original IV Columbia's when they first released. They were just sitting at the Niketown in Vegas then. One of my all time favorites in my collection...
 
Cardinal 7s back in the 90s but they weren't new. My grandfather had some apartments he rented out and a tennant disappeared or something and that's how ended up with them. 1st pair my parents bought were the cherry 12s. 1st pair I bought when I got my 1st job was black toe 14s.
 
My first were the all white and gold Jordan 6s. Like 2 years ago. I'm 14 and I've had those , some true flights and just recently got the white infrared 6s. Much love for the 6s and 7s
 
My first pair was the 1998 bred 13s. I was 6 or 7 years old, so all I remember was loving the black and red CW.
 
OG Bred 13's, size 10.5 from Oshman's in Mesquite, TX. And Jumpman Pro Strongs (white/green/black) at the same time.

Still have both in their boxes too.
 
3rd grade Jumpman Team Showcase Black/Red/White for summer bball camp, my brother had the Carolina blue pair and I wanted them so bad. Wore AM90s and Superstars through school. I never had a pair of retros until December of 2011, and bought the Concord XI as my first pair. I didn't even know what they were at the time but i liked them. Camped out and ended up getting the last pair (12 pair total for our mall) and got a police escort back to my car, dudes were acting up. Never wore them, still DS in my basement, been hooked ever since.
 
Wanted the 11's, couldn't get them. Wanted the 12's couldn't get them. Finally my folks heard my cries, and 13's were my first Jays.

OG 1990 Fire Red V's (3M Tongue)...

Wen't to the Footlocker at the Boulevard Mall (LV heads know) with intentions on getting the Reebok Twilight Zone Pump...Dad talked me into the V's...Been in Jordan's ever since...

My brother was rocking J's since the 1's though...I remember be did a bunch of chores for neighbors to get a couple pairs of OG 1's (At a whopping of $49.99 each) and a Skate Deck...My mom lost her mind when she found out that not only did he spend ALL his cash, but he destroyed the sneakers skating them...
 
OG Grapes. I was in 4th grade, end of the school year. my mom said if I got 3 As and 3 Bs on my report card, she'd cop me some js. that was always my best report card ever too lol. Grapes are a grail I don't have yet. someday I will own again. but the thirst for shoes started back then for me. and it's still goin strong.
 
Damn, first was the bordeaux in '92. I was a youngin but there was so much hype around MJ that even in Los Angeles we were rooting for the Bulls.

Also had a few bulls posters from the scholastic book fairs (as well as the classic countach). Shoutout to all my 90's fam.

Grew out of those so fast though. My pops was furious so I didn't get my next pair until the bred 12s (aka flu games). Literally was on the floor begging for those. Also grew out of them mad quick so the next pair wasn't until I could afford my own :lol: which were the fear 4s. Speaking of which I need to break those out, it's been a min.

Fire red 4s when they first dropped ever, I was in the 1st grade and my uncle said if I got all As and Bs every marking period I can get some Jays...it was new sneaks every report card until the 6th grade lol
