Everytime you mention that he must like you cause he invited you to a party, it reminds of of that scene from 500 days of summer where the guy really thinks he has a shot based on a simple invitation.

Working in a restaurant, working in marketing and going to law school??? This all sounds suspect!!!

He would tell me stories of how he would run scams on his mother.  He would call the porno hotline, run up a bill for hundreds of dollars and then tell her he was calling about video game codes.

idk why, but this had me...

LOL... I'm actually a pretty good writer, and she's coming up with some nice story lines.  Shanique, PM me about writing up a screenplay about your life. (I'll let you get a cut of the film's profits.)

This weekend I found a cheap but cute dress, tried it on and liked it.  I bought it.  I also bought shoes to go with it.  This is the dress.  I don't think this is a graduation or after-graduation dress either.  Do y'all think this would be appropriate for the occassion?  Of course, I would be wearing a cap and gown during graduation.
Why would you be just now walking for graduation in May? Why would you go to the restaurant where you work for your graduation dinner?

If you have money why are into such cheap clothing? People of means are into quality. I mean everybody loves a deal but you are perpetrating like no other. Not to come off as superficial BUT like I said something in the milk ain't clean. I know people with money that are well traveled and they don't say half of the stuff that you say about yourself to paint a picture of who you are. Yeah they[these people of means] are at times elitist jerks but there are some things they don't say because it's the norm for them. That "you are humbled by working in a restaurant" will only go so far as a defense for why you aren't a gold-digger. Success is one of the most fleeting things ever in business. It's more of a trait that a person has of resilience.

These extra details that you are disclosing about your family and personal life are very unnecessary and making you much more transparent than you were before. You going to law school has no standing on your class/financial standing because there are a lot NON working lawyers out there right now.

If you have the money like you say you do OR your people do you wouldn't even be talking about it to be honest.

I graduated EARLY!  The law school is not going to have a ceremony for the 5 or so people who graduated in December!!!!  The ceremony is in May for the entire Class of 2010.  Although I technically graduated in 2009, I am still a part of the Class of 2010.

I talked about my dad as a comparison to this Italian guy.  He has a good job and a business on the side.  He also manages his money well.  He invests, and it grows.  I mentioned him taking care of the female members of his family, as the Italian guy takes care of his sister.  I find those to be very admirable traits.  If you, Diego, and/or anyone else took it to mean I was bragging, that's not my problem.  I do not know how much money my dad makes from his rental property.  He does not discuss his finances, and when asked he will tell you he doesn't have any money.
laugh.gif
Although, when I make my bi-weekly requests, the money I need always ends up in my account.
laugh.gif
To have come from nothing, he has done very well for himself.  I aspire to be at least half as successful as him some day.

And I bought the cheap dress, because it looks good on me!

...you were able to be taken advantage of by a guy with weak game? A own-mother-scamming-phone-porn guy. And you could see yourself marrying that guy? You probably came off as if you had more than what you actually do (like you do on here).  And karma got you. Hence your current overcompensation of finding a "successful" man or whatever.
That does not exhibit the level of common sense I would expect from anyone that's attended any school of law. You even went as far to post that situation...further damaging your facade. Your passport doesn't have any stamps. Traveling where? You do not sound worldly.
Even Harvard law school students are not receiving job offers...I hope you get a job (if u are who u say u are) but until then you should refrain from trolling and spend more time on the hunt...

I stated that, because people are claiming that I was gold digger. If I were a gold digger, I would have never been with that guy.  No, I did not come off as if I had more than I did.  He saw my apartment, compared to his, my car, compared to his.  Then he saw my house.  He drew his own conclusions, and he knows exactly my financial situation.  I do not put on at all.  I said I considered marrying him, and he wants to marry me for a myriad of reasons, #1 being I am a good partner.  But after seeing how he was, I had to end it.  Well, I actually encouraged him to make some money of his own and not look to people for handouts, but that did not go over well.

He would tell me stories of how he would run scams on his mother.  He would call the porno hotline, run up a bill for hundreds of dollars and then tell her he was calling about video game codes.  Once she lost some jewelry, and when he found it she gave him some money.  So, this dummy started purposely hiding his mom's jewelry so that he would get paid when he miraculously "found" it.  He would be teling me this stuff, and I'd be sitting there like, "You could never have gotten away with that in my house.  Someone would have told on you!"  I guess that's what happens when you are an only child, and your mom lets you get away with everything, even terrorizing your little cousins.  He was someone I considered marrying, but in the end he was HORRIBLE!  I could never see myself in a lifelong relationship with someone like him.

Wait wait, hold up
Didn't you say you had one BF your entire life???

And when you first appeared on NT didn't you thread about getting back together with him???
If this was the simp then you definitely do not have a clue

No, I did not.  I said I only slept with one person, my first boyfriend, the guy from Nigeria.  This gold digger was my 2nd boyfriend, and I did not sleep with him.   The Nigerian is the guy I posted that thread about.  Everything I say is true, and I have no reason to lie about anything.  I've had 2 boyfriends total.  I dropped this last one before beginning law school, but we were at the same law school.

maybe he saw that this supposed chick can be on the team in the future but since the gentlemen has other pressing matters (i.e. other women) that take precedence over said chick, he kept her around until later, where the seeds planted earlier will take root and bear the fruit of his desire.

SShanique, you're getting played. And you're too blind to see it.

btw, no one cares your in law school, doesn't make you not a gold digger.

What am I supposed to do, work in one of the houses as a maid?  That doesn't even make sense.  I don't even live in the area and the fact that I worked in a restaurant when I didn't even have to, should tell you that I am humble and not any kind of gold digger!  I didn't even go out on a date with Pauly D!  If I were a gold digger, I would have been like EFF my education, I want a ride in your Mercedes, boy!

You have yet to tell people what law school you went to.
Youre a troll. Everything about you is a lie.

You dont have the common sense or life experience to be a lawyer.
Yea I kinda want to see the the litigator experience you claim to have.
I'm not calling you a liar, but you're getting chewed up here and you're not doing a good job at defending yourself.

Something I'm curious about is how did you manage to graduate a semester early yet you're unable to secure a job?

If you graduated early, I would imagine you're at the top of the class and firms would have recruited you.

Just my two cents...

What litigator experience?  I just graduated.

All you have to do to graduate early is finish all your hours before your final semester.

I worked as a law clerk for a firm my 2L year, and I didn't like them giving me huge research assignments right before I had a huge assignment due for a class.  I didn't say I wanted to work at a restaurant to stay humble.  Honestly, I liked meeting the patrons, because I sure didn't make much money working there.

I've also externed for a federal judge.  I have worked as a deputy prosecutor for the city.  I have worked as a civil attorney, although I never got to go to court for it.  I have also completed a will, trust, power of attorney, healthcare directive for someone.  These were all a part of my education, so my feet are more than wet.
