I can understand where they're coming from, but they sound like sensitive lames so you're probably best to distance yourself from them.

Dude was friends with them before the video games right?
There are a few friends I have that are lames in most people's perspectives, but I'm not gonna outcast them from my circle just because they play Starcraft 2 all the time. Having the same people in your circle of friends is not that great.
All I'm saying is, it's not worth breaking it off that easy over a video game tournament.

No, all I'm saying is I'd distance myself. It's just as lame to be like "I don't think we should chill anymore" or something similar. It's never good to disrespect friends and you don't have to disrespect them to do it. %%$%, invite them to watch the Pacman fight, they'll probably say no and it'll demonstrate to them that your interests are different.

they dont have much friends other than themselves though not even joking. i didnt even know one guy till recent and the other havent seen since middle school but recently started chilling again. btw they dont respect the fact that i am into nba2k and like sports they crack jokes about people who play it and me for playing it just putting that out there to letchu all know the deal behind them. like someone said they arent the most sociable and im out there i have a large group of friends and i chill with just about anyone. but the whole situation they turned it and really took things outta context.

Your boys overreacted but I can see where they're coming from. I'm not saying this is you, but some dudes absolutely HAVE to bring their girl with them where ever they go. Like you can be hanging with a small group of your boys and one of them takes his chick when you all go to hoop, or go to the cafe or even when you're just chilling at the place. Like it's cool and I'm all up for more people to chill with, but I swear it's like some guys have handcuffs attached to their significant others
Don't break your friendship though cause of this. This is mad petty and for real, what's done is done. Now you know when they mean guys only they mean guys only. And if you really didn't want to go, you could have said that, it would have been a lot better than finding an excuse then dipping.
