What's good with Fox 5 shouting out viewing areas?

I recently noticed that Fox 5 news has been shouting out viewing areas at the end of every segment. Has anyone else noticed? Why are they just now starting to do this?

I noticed it this morning actually and was like "Huh? Why is he naming those places?"

It's like this...at the end of the segment, as it's going off...

One of the Newscasters calls off a short list of there viewers...

I imagine that the same way they monitor TV RATINGS...they clock how many people are watching at the time...tally it...and give shouts out to those people.
