When did they start making fake Jordan PE's????

I was searching through craigslist and thought I might have found a deal on some Ray Allen PE's... after doing further research I had no clue they made fakes now of PEs.  Is this new?

Fakes exist in many many colorways, including the player edition ones, I think the fake PE 12s have been around for a bit I'm not sure tho

It is depressing
