Thinking back on some !%%$...remember how fast Snoop fell off? I've never known another MC to have as rapid a fall from grace like Snoop. Was The Doggfather really that bad to where we forgot Snoop even rhymed at one point. The transition to No Limit was painful to watch, and he was once considered to be one of the greats. "sell records like snoop...oopps"

Not gonna lie, I have never even listened to enough of Snoop Dogg to even know. Doggystyle was great, and I have his 2 No Limit albums,
Blue Carpet Treatment, and Paid The Cost on my cpu but never have listened to them. I do give him props for managing to stay relevant
and re-invent himself for what seems like forever in the game.

^Basically.

With him it was always about quality albums; anthems and timeless joints you can play at certain times cuz he was not dropping lyrical gems. Doggystyle had the full package Snoop. Directly after that every album from then on just had a handful of really good songs and that # dwindled with the more albums he dropped as the quality dropped.

He definitely wasn't the same after Doggystyle as far as albums go... He's had some classic songs since then though.

I remember bumpin doggfather in my discman back in the day...thought it was dope

I honestly thought Tha Last Meal was a very solid Snoop effort. There was some solid cuts on R&G but I will definitely say since Tha Last Meal he doesnt really try anymore...

Love that album. Personal fav but yeah he basically only has a few songs  that are flashes of the classic Snoop.

Yeah for all what's being said being the truth he still has managed to be the most recognizable rapper on the planet.

R And G was good so was Blue Carpet Treatment. But its had alot of great songs since Doggystyle.

Doggfather was flames IMO.
That also goes for his 1st No Limit album "Da Game is to be sold not to be told"
But yeah it was downhill from there

It bothers me that people tried to clown Hov for being "Old" and still rapping yet this cornball has been in the game for longer, is basura, and no one says anything. Hovs still putting out classics and this guy puts out nonsense and no one cares.

Snoop fell off after his debut album, he's had good songs since but his albums have been WEAK. "Tha Last Meal" is probably the only other good album he has, other than his albums are TRASH. Haven't listened to Snoop since the Blue Carpet album which had some songs on it. He's been spitting THE SAME RHYMES SINCE 98

Snoop is the biggest troll in hip hop. My dude does not give two $@%!! when it comes to making music, cause y'all seen how much of a problem he was at one point. Son is just laxing

I don't know what ya'll talkin' about. Snoop done dropped heat since Doggfather. He may not have been as "gangsta" as ya'll wanted him to be but he's dropped some heat.

It is kind of amazing how snoop has stayed so relevant without many projects or ventures people can recall.
