will his career still count as perfect if he ever comes out the closet?

I don't think Jerry is gay, but even if he was - it has no impact on what he did on the football field.

Darrell Green
Cal Ripken
Robert Horry - in a right place, right time type of way
Scott Hamilton
Dominique Dawes
Michael Johnson
Floyd Mayweather
Tim Duncan
Manu Ginobili - defeating the U.S. in the olympics while winning titles in the NBA is boss

Jeter, Duncan, Ripken Jr., Griffey Before Cincinnati, Mariano Rivera.
Jerry Rice is another good one, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning.

I think picture perfect would mean no on-court/field, off-court/field incidents or drama. My vote would have to be Peyton Manning.

When I think picture perfect... I don't think of career ending injuries. Hope Manning and Rivera can make a comeback and retire on their own terms.

yeah but the way he left a game left a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths. not that they have a right to look down on him, but still. it takes away from that "picture perfect" view. imo, of course

What eliminates Gretzky from the discussion?

Bird?

Jerry Rice?

Federer?

David Robinson?

only thing for me is the playing for so many teams. imo picture perfect in most cases is one team, maybe two.

After having his time delayed by a judge so he could make a quick $50 Million +... emoticons can't change that.

Still in jail, though. Justifiably? No matter. Hard to call a career perfect when it included jailtime.

i agree. what the hell was that stint in STL about?

that and his coaching record (if we're considering that) in PHX was awful. i think 4 or 5 years and didnt make the playoffs once
