I don't think the 56 game hit streak could ever be accomplished with the media attention on sports now a days

Will never be broken
Oakley ain't even close to the rebound record in a game. I know Russell and Wilt got 50+ in a couple games

it was never recorded.

EDIT: 55 in one game by Wilt

No team will ever be assembled that takes the floor every game and beats their opponents by an average of 43.8 PPG.

^^Lebron might get there one day if he stays healthy and never gets any help

Grant Hill came close in 95-96: 20.2 PPG 9.8 RPG 6.9 ASP

I'm not even a hockey fan, but you gotta admire his work if you're a sports fan in general. Dude was the first andonly guy to spot up 200 points in a season...and he did it 4 differenttimes.

This one wont last

Brett Favre's consecutive game played streak will never be broken, Never.

yes it will. The next closest person on the list who is active is Edgerin James, and he has 11,607. Dude is 29 years old too.

LT has about 10,650...and is 28 years old. He also clearly said how he might not even play another 5 years. For him to beat it, he would need to rush for2,000 yds for the next 4 seasons to beat it.

OK, but ...

It was thought Jim Browns rushing record was out of reach..

then it was thought Walter Peyton's record was out of reach....

all of Wilt's records simply because the game was trash back then... +$%$!! couldnt even dribble with both hands back then

^^LT said it many times that he wont play for another 5 years. No one else is closer or has a better shot than he does. Clinton Portis is the only other personinside the top 45 who is under 30. And he has 7,715.

so football is going to stop being played after LT and Clinton Portis retire? are you putting a time constraint on the record breaking or did u really mean"ever" ?

mutombo oldest player to remain active in the NBA record will never be broken. (58)

I mean ever....but if your thinking like that then your saying someone will break Wilts 100??

All i'm saying is that in the NFL the avg career is getting shorter and shorter. It'll be tough to pass 18,000 yds all time.
