Sounds like it's hit or miss and depends.
Some people say they've worn their pairs 10-20 times and they still look brand new. I've worn mine 5-7 times and they look brand new.
If I recall, the pair in the picture in discussion was worn maybe 10 or so times? Don't remember exactly. Seems like that pair is an anomaly.

Thanks. I’m all for creases, wrinkling, etc, but the paint bubbling up and such kills it for me. And to be fair, 20,30,40 uses ain’t nothing. Shes things should be getting years of abuse and hold up for what they’re asking

That pair was worn twice according to the person on Reddit who posted it, asking if that looked “normal” for only a couple wears. Mine don’t look like that after a few wears but they’re certainly out there

The Reimagined WC's are literally perfect to me. I know they have artificial aging but joints are a 99/100. Even if they do make the 'true to OG' by making them white, I have no reason to believe they will be better than those.
Reimagined III's are a unicorn. And the shape on Reimagined IV's is top 2 tied with the Green SBs.

I agree with both of yall but c'mon have some faith, the WC3 has to be done right true to OG soon! And hopefully better than the reimagined's! All we need is the same shoe but without the yellow *** tab. Hell, I may do a DIY project myself one day if the reimagined joints are the best we are ever gonna get

Can’t agree more. I have three unworn pairs. Beat my first pair. Pulled one out the other day just to put on the floor and look at. The shape, the EP … I waited 20 years to buy a III again for those exact reasons. Couldn’t care less about the faux aging. Only thing that would’ve made them truly nicer would’ve been some good soft true floater leather, or at least softer than what we got. I hope they do a non-aged version that’s even better somehow in terms of shape and leather, But if someone forced me to keep only one retro Jordan, it’s these. Concords a close second but I can’t wear those with anything like I can the WCs. I’ve thought this shoe was visually perfect since I got into Jordans in late ‘89. I was always so bummed I had come to the party about two years too late to have them. Always wished it would be possible. And then missing out on the 94 retro haunted me forever.
