I'm curious as to what everyone thinks. There have been many groups throughout hip-hop so I think it's safe to say that many of them wouldn't makethe cut. Listed here are what I think are the best of the best and if you feel I left one out then I'll add more. *More groups added*

Beastie Boys
Run-D.M.C.
Public Enemy
EPMD
Mobb Deep
N.W.A.
OutKast
Wu-Tang Clan
De La Soul
The Roots
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
A Tribe Called Quest
UGK

Based on what has been listed, my vote goes to OutKast.

no The Roots or Bone Thugs in your list?

my vote would go to The Roots or Wu Tang,
but to be objective, i'd give The Roots the
edge due to consistency and longevity.

but overall, i'd give the nod to Outkast.

i'ma get knocked for this, but give it a few more critically-acclaimed
albums, i believe the Clipse are gonna deserve a spot in these lists.

When looking at the Wu as a group you can't include all their solo work.
That means no OB4CL, Liquid Swords, Tical, SC, Ironman, etc.

You have 36 chambers(classic album)
Wu Tang Forever
The W
Iron Flag
8 Diagrams.

Quest has a better catalog than that.
The Low End Theory and Midnight Marauders are 2 of the greatest albums in hip-hop history.
People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm is also a great album.
Then you got the Love Movement and 'Beats, Rhymes, and Life'

IMO, Quest takes it.

I've always wondered, do people like CL Smooth and Peter Rock, Eric B. and Rakim, Gang Starr, etc. count as a group?
I don't think they should.

When looking at the Wu as a group you can't include all their solo work.
That means no OB4CL, Liquid Swords, Tical, SC, Ironman, etc.
But the first wave of Wu solos were practically group efforts.
