I just home from seeing the midnight premiere (I have no class on Fridays, so figured why not, might as well see it).

Honestly, it was not that bad at all. I saw the original when I was younger, but I did remember a lot of what was going on. The ways Freddy appeared in the dreams were clever, and I really liked

the whole scene on why/how Freddy was burned.

Anyone else watch it yet, or plan on watching it?

Saw the midnight show tonight...wasn't bad at all. I guess if your going in with super high expectations, then you might feel let down. But it is what it is...a re-imagining of the original Nightmare on Elm Street with some modern cgi kills. Really dunno what else anyone could expect from it.

it was straight It had some hot *** moms in there as long as it was better the Friday The 13th from last year im straight I dont think nothing can top that trash

i disliked it..... the cgi was terrible and it had some cheesy parts. The kill were cool but its not like the og.

If it's anything like Friday the 13th, I'll pass. The only good thing about that movie was the random softcore sex scene. It was mad awkward in the theatre everyone was like

, but it mostly laughs from the dude's line "you have perfect nipple placement" and " your breast are juicy."

This movie has gotten CRUSHED by critics.

I might check it out just to compare it to the original, but I'll probably pass.

I'll catch it at the Red Box.

I can see this easily being garbage. Horror movie remakes are usually garbage.

i want to see this so bad. but the fox 5 critic (dc heads) gave it a 2.5 out of 5. hes usually pretty accurate...

He still had a little humor....A little.

I didn't like it. They took a lot of the things that happened from part 1 and remade the scenes for this one. i.e. bloody body bag in school, bed scene, floor turning into blood, licking the ear, bath scene, etc...

It wasn't "creepy" like old horror flicks. That's the one thing that I hate about newer horror movies. They just add a bunch of scenes that make people jump and label it scary...

I didn't like his new look or voice. He looked like a muskrat with down syndrome.

I also noticed a lot of "mess ups" in the movie. The biggest was towards the beginning - She goes through an old box of pictures that says "1996 - 1st grade", which means she was born in 89 and would be 21, possibly 20, but she is in HS.

What killed it for me was seeing Freddy's face way too much. I don't remember seeing it as much in the original, granted I saw that when I was younger but still.

It would have given the movie that "scarier" effect had he not been show as much as he was in my opinion.

Looking forward to seeing it tonight. Im not expecting it to be anywhere near as good as the OG, but I am looking forward to it still.

Its going to wierd seeing a new Freddy though, not gonna lie.

I didn't see the Friday remake. I want to see this but I probably won't.
