While a good concept, I really would rather see an actual actor who has acting skills play the role.
I mean if you want to go by looks alone, I think John Cena is perfect.
He got the haircut, body and face structure right already.
But any movie with Cena as the main protagonist would suck.

Matthew Maconaeghey or Brad Pitt would actually make a decent Captain America.
Even Matt Damon wouldn't be a bad choice after watching the Bourne Trilogy.

Pitt's too old for Capt. Damon is too big of a star. The best pick is Capt. Kirk, Chris Pine. He's the right age and a fantastic up and coming actor.

No contradiction, just because he has been in chick flicks lately doesn't mean he can't act.
He can act tough and has ranges, He was pretty bad @!+ in Reign of Fire and did well in A Time to Kill.
He was in Amistad and didn't look out of place so he is not that bad of an actor really.

Chris Pine seems about right though, especially since he is on the top right now.
