Why Black Women Love ABC's Show Scandal???

I've watched the show a few times and imo it's really not glamorous at all. I would quit my job if I was in the middle of all that scandal.

But I'm a chill laid back kinda guy.

Busybody women eat this stuff up.

Too me, all that sleeping your way to the top and so called "power plays" is lame and reminds me of the "I can't believe it's not butter" books that give all these women these false fantasies.

I guess stuff like this is women porn

Who slept their way to the top in that show?

The show is doing well because of good acting, great writing and Shanda Rhymes is riding the wave of her past successes (Greys Anatomy, Private Practice). Why is it doing so well amongst black women? Maybe cus a black woman is a lead character written by a black woman on a network dominated by white people, and theres nothing else on tv... Dude just sounds bitter to me.

She does take presidential pipe on the show ( their relationship is the main plot, taking up bout 50% of the overall story line), I cant say I know for sure but I don't believe this is feuling the show. I watch it cus of the great writing, twisting plots ( you never know how its gonna turn out, ALWAYS a curveball), political drama from a different perfective ( media, pr and crisis management) and good actors with strong characters. I always hate when her n the prezzy scenes come up cus its boring as hell, they play this sappy music that put me to sleep, its sooo lame. Was interesting first couple episode but its beyond week and the writers must know that, which is why they dissolved it.
But great show to check on Netflix. 4.5/5 :pimp:

I thought it was cuz of Kerry and the nature of the show; affairs, a lil suspense, drama, etc.

I noticed women's love for the show on FB. I've only watched like 3 eps in the first season. Couldn't really bother to keep up for some reason.

This. Great logical post.

I actually watch the show and what many may not even realize for a good portion of this season she was dating a black man. So the dude in the video has no idea what he is talking about.

Does Kerry Washington give up the butt in every episode ? I've never seen the show .

Nah. His marriage sucks, she was like a prezzy campaign manager, they fell in love. His wife know but she like, as long as I get mine cushy life and don't look bad Im strait. She realize she cant live this lie, so she tries to leave mad times, end it, but the nature of her job she in the white house sometimes, and .. he lives there so things go down. At this point in the season it seems like they dissolving it .

Tried to get into this show by watching Season 1 on Netflix.

Every bird I know hypes this show up and I dont see why. I gave up after 10 mins into the 3rd episode.

To me it just seems like a glorification of a side piece. Like it's telling birds, "its cool to be the 2nd option...just get yours."

Doesnt appeal/interest me.

She had a a black guy she was dating the show. He was a politician of some kind, not sure, but she broke it off withhim because she said she doesn't want to be in love the simple way . She said she likes the complicated way.

 :smh:

Every character goes on the same "mad black woman rant." A huge run on sentence that ends in an ultimatum.

^Word. This show and Grey's Anatomy kill me with all that fast talking fit a crap load of words in speeches and pep talks throughout the show. That's how I realized they had the same writer before I looked it up.

Repped DC.

I BEEN saying this and its been falling on deaf ears.

Only major network show to a star black woman and shes a jumpoff.

Does she date black dudes in real life tho? Not to specify with black dudes but I havent seen her with any minority.

I know I know, its her preference.

it all makes sense now :wow:

on another note:
after watching that video as in the words of my father..."THAT **** IS A BUNCH OF PSYCHO-BABBLE"

I think that's why she's perfect for these roles. She might really be like that.
