College costs so much because students are bringing thousands of extra dollars to the table, in the form of government grants and government subsidized loans. With students bringing more money to the table, colleges can get away with charging more. Take away some or all of the government money, and tuition will drop back to where it should be

So what you are saying is stop helping the less fortunate people pay for college so the more wealthy people don't have to pay so much? Some people really need financial aid in order to afford college, but I do agree that the system is somewhat flawed. I know dudes who go to community college that are getting ridiculous refund checks.
