I've never understood the hate for wearing a hoody/sweater with shorts.
If I'm out on a warm day and it cools down a little I know I'm going to put on a sweater before I go and change into pants. it's just the obvious thing to do. As long as your core is reasonably warm then your legs won't feel cold. It's also a lot easier to do in public.
