And is there a way to fix it by manipulating settings or something? It doesn't matter what speed connection I am on, and even going out of my way to pick the "lyrics" and picture videos which I assume will be smaller file size doesn't stop it from freezing. It will even stop and then watch the download progress bar go all the way to the end and won't play until I drag the play progress bar further forward or backwards, and for whatever reason instead of playing what has already downloaded will start over and redownload. It's beyond unbearable at this point but no other site has as many videos

Computer, the mobile is even worst. I guess I just googled and it said something about increasing my cache size

I don't even use it on my computer unless I REALLY have to, its so broken.

Clearing my cache seems to work on mobile when it gets laggy/choppy/won't load. So maybe that will help on a computer.

The app just recently started working properly too. :rolleyes

The app on my phone has become unusable, **** crashes during every video I watch.

Might just be yall i have no problem with it

Same. Think yall just need a better connection or computer.

FiOS boyz we in dis.

Google Fiber FTW :smokin

I don't have google fiber but sometimes it takes a while to buffer videos on the computer for me to. :(

Definitely not a connection issue, Dailymotion is defaulting to 480p and playing straight through and I'm talking over various devices and connections.Watch a video til the end then click replay and watch it redownload instead of just replaying out of your cache like it used to before.

Apparently Youtube switched to the DASH protocol. You can turn it off to make it go back to the old way.

Yeah it's sucked for a while already. Videos constantly stop and have to keep buffering on my phone. Very annoying.

Youtube Center extesion for Chrome, disable DASH in player settings, fixed it!

Couldn't get Youtube Center to work in Safari though

I've been having problems with YT lately too, always switching to 144p from 480p, but I can load something on a streaming site perfectly fine.

Change the www to ca.youtube... - the theory is that Google keep bandwidth for California and it seems to work.

You could be getting throttled by your isp

had sim issues b4 I blocked certain ip's

search how to block *my isp's* throttling

could be it

YouTube is such a juggernaut now; I remember when they first blew back in 2006 when there were eight million different video sites and no central site like there is now.

I thought it was my connection. My landlord switched from Fios to TWC and right away I noticed a huge slower connection, especially on Youtube. Going to try to the methods above out.
