Why was my thread locked?

I can’t figure out what rule I broke. The thread was an honest attempt to glean some wisdom about AJ1s from the experts of NT. I got a few comments that I wanted to respond to, but then I noticed the thread’s closed. What am I missing? Did the topic belong in a different forum?

I’m new around here, so if I’m breaking a rule by even asking this question, then I apologize. Not trying to rock the boat. Just trying to understand.

The general rule of thumb is that it's better to post in an existing thread where available than create a redundant one. If every person here created a new thread each time they were evaluating a purchase, the forums would become cluttered to the point of dysfunction. I agree that an explanation would've been helpful. Our moderators generously volunteer their time to help us maintain a safe, friendly, and organized community, and may not always have time to offer a full and satisfying explanation for each action taken.
