Will Jordan Brand ever retro the AJ X w/ the toe cap?

When the original X white/steel released it had a toe cap.

I don't believe any other colorway (or retro) since has had it.

Anyone have the insight as to why that is? Or info that a retro may come along that does include the toe cap?

Tinker showed Jordan the 10 and he didn't like it so they removed it.

Damn.... I guess if MJ didn't like that element that they wouldn't retro it.

Shut up and take what we release, and leave that $220 + tax on the counter on your way out. Thanks. - JB

I know you're joking but if they did a very limited, numbered (1995 pairs?) "RECALLED" Steel X release with the toe cap, people would go nuts for it simply because of the hype.

I think they might eventually release in limited quantities. I'd like to see it.

I've only seen one picture of the shadows with the toe cap and that was from an old eastbay magazine. So I think those only exist in sample form and never actually made it to production, but I could be wrong.

I remember Gentry saying that 45 would NEVER appear on any retro. .....

They'll come back with the toe cap and the reversed Jumpmans. The way things are going now, it isn't even a question of "if", but a question on when?

Of course, thank goodness I'm a smart consumer lol
