Science IS NOT made to answer every question. Its meant to confirm the validity of statements. Can science or religion definitively answer EVERY question we have today? NO. IDGAF which one you think is superior, NEITHER is the end all be all. Fact. Neither will be able to replace the other. Period.
At the end of the day, neither science or religion can be regarded as the end all be all. Both can claim, but neither has definitive answer to everything. This is fact. So there's really no reason for either side to be on the soapbox preaching about which can replace the other. As long as there are humans, there will be struggle which in my opinion leads people to believe. Humans also have the desire to know/ learn therefore science will never go away.
Science doesn't assert anything...Science cannot hold itself up just as religion can't. This is fact. Neither is the end all be all. Anything else you got it bro.
"The one thing that I know, is that I know nothing".
Use it fam.
Sans for the Tyler Perry part, isn't that what you all believe? Isn't Revelation generally about the End of Days? Thessalonians 4:16-17
The resurrection of the righteous will occur. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first." —1 Thessalonians 4:16
In one single event, the saved who are alive at Christ's coming will be caught up together with the resurrected to meet the Lord in the air. "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." —1 Thessalonians 4:17
....so because we had to learn through trial and error and didn't immediately understand germ theory, Western medicine is bad? Do us all a favor and don't go to the doctor next time you get sick. I'm sure you'll be a lot better off than the guy who did.I guess the world owes it's gratitude to western science and medicine. It's amazing how they went from not wearing gloves and washing hands between surgeries to rubber gloves and hygiene.
Thanks to all those battlefield doctors who learned that cutting off body parts with the same knife that hasn't been clean leads to infection.
Thank you western medicine for testing out diseases on poor people so that rich people can have cures.
Thank you for all the thieving and body manipulation it took to get us to where we are today.
Thank you western medicine for learning that you have to clean a operating table off between surgeries.
Thank you for sending tainted medicine to 3rd world countries.
Thank you western medicine for my life!!!!!!!!
Are you asserting that a secular society would kill off believers?Sans for the Tyler Perry part, isn't that what you all believe? Isn't Revelation generally about the End of Days? Thessalonians 4:16-17

..??
I simply ask what will happen to me, in terms of society. Im still going to believe in God so would I be "replaced"
I didnt ask what will happen when we die, why would I ask that here.
w/e dont answer me anymore, you have bad comprehensions skills
This is the problem. Most Americans occupy the middle ground: we want it all. We want to cheer on science's strides and still humble ourselves on the Sabbath. We want access to both MRIs and miracles. We want debates about issues like stem cells without conceding that the positions are so intrinsically inimical as to make discussions fruitless. At the end of the day, neither science or religion can be regarded as the end all be all. This is how it should be. Just saying "oh I believe the Lord will do it the way he sees fit" without going to the doctor would be foolish. It should be a hand and hand thing. But instead religious fanatics and the FutureMD's of the world want division. But I have gained a great understanding to why people especially elderly people are afraid of hospitals and technologyMost Americans occupy the middle ground: we want it all. If it was you'd probably be serving 3 life sentences right nowI don't want division.
I want rationality. I don't want to prevent people from believe in BS...everyone should be entitled to being wrong about something. Being irrational isn't illegal.
Religion doesn't need to go hand in hand with ANYTHING i'm apart of.
EVER.
Otherwise, if your God is going to take credit for the hard work of humanity, he can save us all the effort and come down and relieve the surgeon of his duties.
Yeah. You're right. The story of the jewish zombie who was born from the teenager who got knocked up before her husband got to smash is ENTIRELY plausible. If it was you'd probably be serving 3 life sentences right nowI don't want division.

Yeaa arguing that hypotheses is not just another word for guess isYeah. You're right. The story of the jewish zombie who was born from the teenager who got knocked up before her husband got to smash is ENTIRELY plausible.
But its cool he was the son of god who after 2 attempts to correct humanity decided to try YET AGAIN to convince the very things it made and controlled to follow him.
My bad.![]()

So besides monkeys what other animals evolved now? Oh and what was the answer to why reptiles stayed the same since the age of dinosaurs? Whats the theory on that agian?Because its not.
A guess doesn't imply that you're going to experimentally test it. Its an unsubstantiated assertion.
A hypothesis is an educated proposition. that you THEN go to confirm or deny.
There is a difference.
But don't worry about all of that, you're still trying to figure out how there are still monkeys if we supposedly evolved from there, OR how we know the composition of other planets using stuff you learn in general chemistry.
Don't worry, i'll leave the arguments regarding syntax and your remixes on connotative definitions up to you.
On the topic of religion? Your words, not mine. Its more cognitive dissonance than anything.futuremd is basically saying that all religious people, even the slightest, are mentally handicapped

Get this straight being a believer and being religious are to different things. Believing is seeing if you don't believe you ain't going to see. Just because you didn't see and experience doesn't mean it's not true. And you've never seen for yourself on either side. Since the days of your schooling you've had evolution drilled in your head. So do you fall in the category of buffoons you just described. On the topic of religion? Your words, not mine. Its more cognitive dissonance than anything.
But elsewhere on any other topic, the sky is the limit.
You can't blame some people. They've had this stuff drilled into them since birth and very few are fortunate enough to learn about how religion works psychologically anyways so they will defend it at any chance.
Irony of your argument is that religion is one in the same....Yes it does matter.
This proves that you should be wrote off. Your all biased articles and no real life experience or common sense. Hospitals are huge business not saying they about screwing people over. But yea they are. If they don't have product to push they make no money. There product gives you hope. If you don't have hope in them you ain't going to them. My point is they push out meds prematurely for profit. Yea they might get rid of this or that but at what cost(side-effect). In other cases they sell you false hope in something they're not even sure of.
Bottom line if you haven't had daily convo's with a doctor to see it for yourself then to speak on it.
Here is an idea go talk to a doctor about how his outlook on medicine has changed since his/her residency.
They are no different then Romney it's like there trying to be confident in there words, but you can see in there face that they really don't believe in what they're telling you. That is when it comes to patients and concerned family members of patients
That's exactly my point this is FuturMD and Atheist in general argument towards religion. There beliefs in science are a direct reflection of there arguments against religion. The funny thing is it's true they are one in the same. I don't believe in religion, but I do believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins. But for me to say all science is bad is just as insane as FuturMD saying all wars, killing, and mayhem is because of religion. On both sides you have bad apples. So to demonize the entire side is crazyIrony of your argument is that religion is one in the same....
This proves that u should be wrote off=this proves religion should be wrote off
Your biased articles and no real life experiences etc...=your biased bibles/korans with no real life experiences or proof.
hospitals are a huge business not saying they screw ppl over. but yea they are,=churches etc... are a huge business not saying they screw ppl over but yea they are aka direct/indirect results of more tragedies/travesties then anything known to man..
if they dont have product to push they make no money.... there product gives you hope.... =if preachers etc dont have product/the word they make no money... their product aka unproven doctrine and false claims gives u hope.
yea they may get rid of this and that solve this and that>religion has never got rid of anything nor solved this or that...
That has to be your reply. You ask about evolution, I give you an answer then you make the accusation that I "believe in a theory to be the truth the way and the light", you try to equate my stance to that of religious person defending their religion while ignoring any and all facts that have been presented to you prior, specifically ignoring the main fact in that comparison that religious ppl do not provide facts in their defense of religion. You just being wrong and strong son. You refuse to educate yourself on the matter and you're clearly not open minded enough to genuinely ask questions so you can learn something so you opt to not budge from arguing from ignorance.Oh so you didn't watch either vid? Then you come through with assumptions about something I have not stated in this or any other thread? Like I said I'm not gonna bother with you dude, you're not just ignorant, you're close minded, you think you have it figured it out, you think you're stance is right when it's clearly not. Believe what you will but on this matter I'm telling you you're wrong.![]()

Look at this dude still asking these dumb *** questions about reptiles evolving and why monkeys still exist
Ignorance must be bliss since he's arguing so gleefully unaware how off base and wrong he is.That's exactly my point this is FuturMD and Atheist in general argument towards religion.
