Performances aren't fake. Bands rehearse in the event of impromptu performances, such as this one. They usually play instrumental pieces of their musical guest's hit tunes anyway. Considering the fact that "The Fresh Prince" is seen ALL OVER THE WORLD and "Summertime" is one of Will's biggest hits, it's not that hard to believe that a certain segment of America's population can memorize the chorus. People don't wanna believe in magic anymore :\ Enjoy a show for what it is.

He's still been around. After earth was 2013. Focus and Concussion were 2015. Then he has Bad Boys 3, the Netflix movie Bright, and some other stuff coming out next year and beyond

But as corny as songs like Gettin Jiggy w/ It and Miami are, they are just as classic as Summertime. Summertime is like a scent, like how pumpkin spice reminds you of the fall, Summertime immediately takes you back to the age you were when you first heard it. Even after finding he didn't write it, still love that song.
