Windows 7 help

Im terrible with computers and i just recently got windows 7 and usually for my taskbar whenever i go over something it would show the picture of what im on,but now it just shows a text. Such as if i go over Mozilla while on NT it shows NKETLK instead of the picture of what im viewing. Anyone know how to restore it back to the screen cap thing

run the aero troubleshooter. you can get to it by going to the control panel and and typing in aero in the search box and then click on the tab that says troubleshooting.

I know it worked for me once.

I have a problem too..Ever since I got my laptop I've always had problems seeing pics, it's mostly just the little red x's..I have to right click and choose show picture..Why is this?..My home computer doesnt do this, but it's a couple years old and Im pretty sure it doesnt have windows 7 on it..Is there anything that I can do so pictures will show up without having to go thru the hastle of doing the right click/show pic thing?
