Windows PC Vista and a new webcam help?

so i just got a a lifecam vx 5000 and i followed the instructions but i cant get my webcam to work. i downloaded the new driver but it still has a exclamationpoint by the device in my device manager. i tried to reinstall etc and still no luck is there any way to get this #*+@ to work its my 2nd webcam and i'vehad the same problem i cant get my comp recognize my webcam. PC vista FTL

I had the same problem with my dell integrated webcam as soon as I turned on the brand new pc it said "you need to install driver cd to get fullfunctions" or something .....I tried installing the driver cd and no luck, so I just uninstalled the webcam program, put in the webcam cd that came withcomputer and installed it again that way and it worked
