Windows Vista FTL...Since when must I pay for Microsoft Word?

    Do i really need to pay for this **$%?
    Apparently I just opened it up and it says my trial is expired and i have to buy a new product key[​IMG][​IMG]
    Anyone else had this problem?

    Word was never free. Maybe Works is, certainly not Word.

    I couldve sworn that word was free on windows XP though..
    Like it would come fully loaded already

    rich text documents its the same thing but free are in vista right? I dont remember since I use WIndows 7 [​IMG]

    use openoffice my friend....its not exactly like ms office but it gets the job done and its free

    ^^ +1 to open office, its a great free suite of programs exactly like MS office and it is actually a lot more like office 2003 with at least for me is waybetter than 2007... Open Office site

    college issued laptops with all this mess (microsoft office, symantec, etc) paid for/pre-loaded and free updated to newer versions FTW [​IMG]

    I think it comes included with when you buy generic crap from dell and xp and all that pre loaded stuff

    i had that same problem when i bought my comp a few years ago. i just use the word processor. it lacks some of the formatting as Word but it gets the job done.

    just google for microsoft office 2007 BLUE

    it's the OEM/developers version which requires no serial keys.

    Yea, I'm hatin' this myself! As much as I paid for this stupid laptop, you'd think Office would be free
