Hello. I moved into a house that is unable to get cable Internet. Century link is expensive and you have to sign up for a year long contract and I don't think I'll be here for a year.

I don't have any experience with hotspots. I have Verizon wireless and an iPhone 5 with the most basic data plan, I think that's 2gbs?

-is it worth it to set up a hotspot through my phone to able to use my laptop?

-I want to be able to watch Netflix, pron, download music, watch YouTube vids, etc and I'm worried that I won't have enough data to do any of that with the plans that Verizon offers.

Any suggestions or advice brahs?

2gigs is not enough for netflix and pron
Youtube videos 8-25mbs
Movies 700mb to 1.5gb
Hi def stuff from netflix 1gb and up
Music 4 to 7 mb per song
Youll go through 700mb in a couple of hours of heavy use. Do this about 3 or 4 times. You have 26 days to do nothing lol.

Check out Clear Hotspot. That's what my parents got us for now, it's pretty decent. Especially since it's usually my brothers phone, other bros tablet, PS3, and my laptop. It lags from time to time, but if you're alone, then you should be fine.
