I'm just saying, who the hell plays the Powerball on super jackpot day hoping not to win? "Oh well, I'll have other chances at half a billion dollars..."

There are better uses for $2 than buying a losing lottery ticket for SnG. If she just wanted a little fun with no hopes of winning, she could have bought 2 toys at a local dollar store. I find it hard to believe that's not going to singe her soul a bit at some point, that's all.

my mom plays but she always says she doesnt want the jackpot, she wants to win $250k

she doesnt want money to change us :lol shes dead serious too and i just stone face her

does quick pick even work that way?  I think I read somewhere, the numbers are always churning

it's not like that winning set was just next up to be picked.  It's not like letting someone cut in line at the grocery store

and they wind up being the millionth customer, and the lady probably wouldn't have gotten those same numbers

I'm searching for that article now....
Exactly....lets say the old lady took 5 extra seconds to circle in those quick pick bubbles then the younger lady would have if she wouldnt of let her in front..in those 5 extra seconds new numbers will be generated and likely someone had picked a quick pick in those 5 seconds..millions of people playin multiple times..im sure the numbers that the younger lady would have got by not lettin the older lady in line 1st were picked by some1 else

It doesn't matter, she wouldn't have won anyways. Quick pick generates random numbers so it's not like she would have gotten the same ticket.

Wonder how the interview woulda went if it was an NT'er that let someone cut

It would of been a classic interview.

Most of you guys are right, its randomly generated numbers. So it was a possible chance at winning if she wouldn't of let the lady cut, like what if those numbers were still in cue and she still got them next if she wouldn't have let the lady cut. But she also could of bought the quick pick to early and got a loosing set, and the lady behind her(The Winner) could of still got the winning set of numbers. Time and space, like a deathly road accident, it's trippy how a couple milli sec- secs could alter a person future.

So what we do know is that, the winning set of numbers where readily available at that spot for a certain amount of time.

That's interesting, I didn't know that. So I guess it really doesn't matter then. WIsh they wouldn't act like she was sure to get it had she not let the oldy lady go ahead of her.

I just read she's sueing her?

THis can't be real, she was just on the news talking about thats life blah blah blah. What could she sue for in the first place? She gave the lady permission to go ahead of her, even after the clerk acknowledged the lady skipped her. She is going to mess up her blessings, that old lady could have hit her off with some cash.

Did the article mention why she let her cut the line? Was it because she was old and couldn't stand on her own?

I may do it at a grocery store or sams club when I have 25 items, to the 2 that some family has. But at a gas station where both parties couldn't have more than 5 items?

I wish my grandparents spent all their retirement money and government assistance playing the lottery and going to the casino.

SO sad

I still believe she would have gotten the same result had she just continued to the register. I'd like to see a JFK-style visual breakdown of the sequence of events that took place, that's the only way we'll ever know.

Suing is a real snake move.

if true.

It would be nice if the winner gave her something, but how you gonna just assume that lady's feelings? We don't know what she truly feels.

I envy her. To be able to be genuinely at peace with yourself after giving something like that away... takes a strong, gracious soul.

Baby girl just saying that to save face when the old lady goes missing & she suddenly stumbles upon some money.
