If its just for work you really cant go wrong with some shoes from Banana Republic.

anything works man, from new balance to adidas to nike to payless
i would go somewhere in the middle, comfort and durability meets price half way and you should be straight

black clarks desert boots. theyre not like timberlands and theyre sleek so they should work. very comfortable

Check out the Goodison made by Clarks...it should be on Zappos and DSW.com. I have it and wear it when I go out and for work and it does good by me.
