Raw is in St. Louis tonight, Randy Orton's hometown. Let's see what they can do to make him look like a jerkoff tonight.

I'm not here to write about the McMahon's inflating their egos, so I have nothing to say in this preview. Another show like last week, and I won'teven be tuning in next week.

Shane beating up the whole Legacy when he's not even a wrestler...REAL realistic WWE.

Now that Jericho is NOT wrestling Mickey Rourke at WM 25, I wonder what they are gonna do with him? (Prays for Jericho vs Undertaker)

major spoiler...

Linda is going to power bomb John Cena tonight setting up a WM25 feud

Since Jericho acts so high and mighty, maybe God will want a second match in the WWE.

i'm praying creative doesn't browse through niketalk

Come on 4W, don't say things like that. You know if Vince gets the idea, he may actually run with it, even going so far this time to have someone dress upas Jesus and wrestle Jericho

And are you referring to the character or the person acting high and mighty?

Edit: And you guys know the routine, Ortons hometown=Orton ends up looking like a @!$%@. Possibly even as bad as last week

I stand by what I said in the last thread: Shane is working with Legacy and that's why his punches were so pathetic and why he was able to take out all ofLegacy.

The punches were so pathetic because Shane is an out-of-shape front office worker, not a wrestler.

Wonder who the last champer participant is going to be?

Whoever it iscant make the match much better.

Might as well have the chamber be for the intercontinental championship with that lineup they have..

Mike Knox was just PLACED into the Chamber? That doesn't seem to make much sense since they had all those qualifying matches last week... but he'sclearly not going to win it either...

What is the point of this EC if everybody in it isn't a superstar...? I thought that was the point of the EC match... so that you had NO idea who'sgonna win... but come on now... Knox? Kofi? Rey? Let's be serious... Jericho COULD win it, but I don't really see it happening...

It seems to me that they're setting up Knox vs. Mysterio at WM25... even though, there's seemingly no reason for this feud... Knox just beats upMysterio whenever he feels like it and they make no references to it... weak match in my opinion...

I can only pray this is a decent RAW tonight... I'm going to try not to read any spoilers between now and Wrestlemania...

Kufi and Rey in the Chamber is cool. Hell I'd even let Kane in there, but Mike Knoxxx? What in the world has he done to deserve a spot? I much rather hadhim either break into the chamber and steal Rey or attacked Rey once he was eliminated. I doubt we'll see Morrison in the chamber so my pick is either JBLor HBK

News & Notes

WWE still hoping Austin could wrestle one more match at Wrestlemania.

- There is still some talk that Steve Austin could actually work a match at WrestleMania 25 although no concrete plans have been developed. Despite denials from people close to Austin such as Jim Ross, there are several people in WWE that feel Austin competing at the show is a good possibility. While I haven't heard for sure, it is likely Austin will be brought back to television in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania.

Trish Stratus interview; talks about her appearance on RAW, a possible match at Wrestlemania and more.

SLAM! Wrestling has an interview online with former WWE Diva Trish Stratus. Below are the highlights:

Her recent comeback on Raw:

"It was awesome to go back, especially with those two things in place. I never had the chance to face Beth and I felt -- along with from what I've read from the fans -- that would be an intriguing match up," she said contently. "Fans got a chance to see us on-screen together once before -- but she was on my side then -- so now to face off with the buzz of the Internet, and some smack talk from both of us was a sweet moment!

"Also, teaming with the current champ John Cena is always a good crowd pleaser -- actually we have a pretty good track record as a team. I also have become a huge Santino fan. I think he adds so much to any segment he is in, so it was great to have him and add that 'Je ne sais quoi' to our segment.

"I made sure to practice the matrix move I did on Santino at least 40 times to make sure I could still do it,"

About possibly appearing at WrestleMania 25:

"I would definitely like the chance to finish off what I started with Beth in a one-on-one scenario," Stratus told SLAM. "No tagging out, no Santino shenanigans, just one dominant female against the other. And Nattie I think is going to be a major player soon, given the right chance to do what she does best. Everyone knows how much I respect the Hart lineage, using Bret's sharpshooter in my retirement match, wearing the pink and black boots in Toronto -- which I think Nattie had a problem with -- it's not a coincidence.

"So I would be honoured to face someone who is a part of that legacy and I have no doubt in my mind that we could blow away an audience. Do I want to make her tap? Damn straight I do!"

Triple H wants to compete for the WWE title at Wrestlemania.
eyes.gif

- Triple H is said to be pitching ideas for him to compete in a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. Obviously if the WWE Championship does not change hands at No Way Out, his opponent will be Edge. However, we also heard that a potential Undertaker vs. Triple H match was talked about.

WWE is building MVP back up as an upper-mid carder.
pimp.gif

- WWE is in the process of building MVP back up as an upper-mid card worker on SmackDown with a new babyface gimmick. I heard company officials were pleased with the way that he "hung in there" through the humbling process and bigger things are expected for him in 2009.

Report: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat to be inducted at WWE Hall of Fame.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat will be inducted into the 2009 WWE Hall of Fame. If that is indeed the case, Meltzer is reporting that Ric Flair will likely be his inductor.

The only confirmed name for the 2009 WWE Hall of Fame is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin although we have posted several rumored names on the website. Look for WWE to start announcing more names as the Road to WrestleMania 25 continues.

Update on Mr. Kennedy's return.

- The word I am getting is that Kennedy will be able to return to the ring after next month's No Way Out pay-per-view. It is likely that he'll be on the WrestleMania 25 card although I haven't heard in what capacity. Kennedy has been out since early-August with a torn labrum that required surgery.

Latest update on Gail Kim.

- We noted a few weeks back that Gail Kim had already been brought in to do a Divas photo shoot for WWE. We've also learned that she has shot video footage, possibly for promos. Gail's return to the WWE roster should be happening anytime now.

WWE producers strict with Divas about losing pounds.

- I'm told that the WWE Producers are being as strict as ever about Divas keeping their weight down. Arn Anderson and Dean Malenko are said to be especially militant about asking women to lose weight, even when other people within the company disagree.

WWE teasing Kelly Kelly appearance in Playboy Magazine.

WWE Magazine currently now has an article in the latest issue predicting things to come for the company in 2009. One of the biggest things is which Diva would grace the cover of Playboy in 2009. The prediction reads: "Kelly Kelly graces the pages of Playboy. We can continue dreaming, can't we?"

Although there isn't any confirmation at this point that Kelly Kelly will appear in Playboy, there has been talk for quite a while that both WWE & Playboy Magazine want Kelly Kelly to be the next WWE Diva to grace the cover of the magazine.

She said before she didn't want to do it, but with her push being greatly diminished (done onpurpose, I assume) she might have changed her mind...or the WWE might have done that for her.

TNA reaching out to impeached former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.

The following is from TNAWrestling.com:

TNA Wrestling is offering the new Chairman job to its Main Event Mafia faction - and the opportunity to openly sell chairs, steel chairs - to ousted Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.

TNA officials confirmed today that Blagojevich, who was impeached by the Illinois House of Representatives on January 29, is being offered the "Chairman" job within its Main Event Mafia faction, an elite unit which includes U.S. Olympic Gold Medal winner Kurt Angle, former World Heavyweight Champions Kevin Nash, Booker T., and Scott Steiner, and reigning TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Sting.

Blagojevich was arrested on criminal charges on December 9, 2008, for conspiring to sell the senate seat vacated by then-President Elect Barack Obama to the highest bidder, but Angle truly believes in the U.S. justice system.

"He's innocent until proven guilty," Angle said. "As the leader of the Main Event Mafia, I am a huge fan of the Illinois style of politics. As such, Governor Blagojevich is welcome to join me and the entire Main Event Mafia at any and all TNA events in the future, and certainly is welcome to sell his seat with us should he choose not to accept our generous offer."

Blagojevich is a former amateur boxer, so Angle is convinced Blagojevich, "easily will be able to handle the transition to pro wrestling," Angle said.

The Illinois House of Representatives voted in favor of impeachment by an astounding margin of 114-1. Only 60 votes were needed to push the impeachment forward. The single dissenting vote came from Democratic State Representative Milton Patterson, who represents the Southwest side of Chicago.

Chuck Palumbo speaks on drugs in WWE.

- The latest issue of Power Slam magazine has an interview with Chuck Palumbo that took place five weeks after his release from World Wrestling Entertainment. Palumbo talked about all aspects of his career including how he got into wrestling, his time in WCW, entering WWE and the politics behind the scenes, Billy & Chuck, the Full Blooded Italians, his release from WWE in 2004, the WWE road agent who always buried him, going to Japan, re-signing with WWE in 2006, not being used for a year, how his biker character came about, his program with Jamie Noble, his last days in WWE, and more. Palumbo is also asked if the drug culture in WWE is changing. Here is his response:

Q: Contracted WWE wrestlers when quizzed typically deny that prescription drugs and steroids are an issue in the company. Is the drug culture changing?

A: "I think it is, yeah. It's still there and it will always be there, but it's definitely not as rampant as it was. Now, with drug-testing and suspensions, people are still doing it, people are still getting away with it, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be. It'll always be there but, hopefully, it won't be that bad. I hate to see guys (die)… I was close with Curt Hennig, I was close with Eddie Guerrero."

Last episode of SmackDown before Wrestlemania to be live.

The show will be WWE's final "go home" episode before WrestleMania 25 that Sunday night. Tickets for Axxess including the Friday night event with SmackDown go on sale this Saturday morning.

Details on ROH's first ever TV tapings.

Ring of Honor will tape their first two shows for HDNet on Saturday, February 28th at 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 1st at 3:00 PM. The promotion will tape both shows from The Arena on 7 Ritner Street in Philadelphia.

Tickets for the 2/28 taping are already on sale over on rohwrestling.com and tickets for the 3/1 taping will go on sale Wednesday.

When you God if your refering to Triple H then that could be good. Anything to keep Triple GOD out of the WM main event again.

There's some 45 year old dude at work that watches wrestling religiously, it's pretty pathetic.

Only person that look pathetic is you.

I do not want HHH in the main event picture... HHH vs. Undertaker would be a dope match unless Jericho vs. Taker or HBK vs. Taker can happen instead... but Idon't want another WM with HHH headlining... maybe WM26 for him...
